Description Fine Print

Allium altissimum is the tallest of all ornamental onions topping off at 5-6 feet with large, spherical heads of warm purple flowers. Few plants can offer the unique flower forms of ornamental onions with spring and early summer flowers, attractive summer seed heads that dry to give winter interest. Every garden should have Alliums. Plant in multiples of 3, 5, 7 or more. Don't fret when foliage starts to die back just before flowering. It's normal. Just trim the leaves.
