'Mine-No-Yuki' ('White Doves') offers beautiful icy white, semi-double flowers with an informal structure with lightly ruffled petals of varied sizes around golden stamens. Plants grow 6-8 feet tall and wide. Camellia sasanqua bloom from fall through the winter into early spring with fragrant flowers. In Japan their leaves are used for tea and the seeds for tea seed oil. Camellias appreciate rich, acidic, moist, well-draining soils. Use in the light shady garden as an accent or specimen plant or in containers and as cut flowers. Somewhat deer resistant. Plant in a protected location in zone 7.
