Campanula rotundifolia is a widespread harebell found throughout temperate regions of the northern hemisphere. In BC it is commonly found growing right out of rock outcrops along the shoreline. It has small leaves and narrow stems with relatively large bell-shaped lavender-blue to light blue flowers. It is highly variable in size growing from just four inches tall in challenging sites up to two feet or more in richer conditions.
