Citrus wilsonii 'Ichang Lemon' or 'Ichang Papeda' is a hardy lemon for the west coast which can withstand at least -12 degrees Celsius, perhaps colder once established and full size, and is perhaps hardier than the 'Owari' mandarin. The fruit also ripens well in our cool summer climate. The rounded lemons are great for lemonade and for all other dishes you would use lemons for with classic tart acidity mixed with a little touch of sour and bitterness. Grow your own citrus and gain significant bragging rights over your friends when you serve them drinks and dishes made with your own lemons! All of our citrus are grafted onto C-35 citrange, trifoliate orange, or other semi-dwarfing rootstock which confer good hardiness and production while reducing overall tree size.
