Clematis viticella 'Betty Corning' has understated yet stunning form and colour. The pale lilac flowers are nodding and bell-shaped and so elegant for a special place in the garden. It is a member of the Viticella Group which were the first clematis grown in English gardens beginning in the 1500s. They bloom from July to September and are hardy to zone 3. Tolerant of part shade. Pruning group C - hard prune in early spring to about one foot from the ground.
