Description Fine Print

Codonopsis clematidea is rare member of the bellflower family. It is a tuberous rooted perennial or short vine growing as a sprawling mound with twining stems which produce nodding, pale icy blue, bell-shaped flowers that are lovely and delicate on the outside but inside the bells are intricately detailed with with yellow, orange, dark purple, and maroon! You'll have to visit the flowers to look inside. Plant in the border on its own or where it can scramble into nearby perennials and shrubs. Photo: Wikipedia.
