Cyclamen purpurascens is the hardiest of the species surviving even in zone 5! It has lovely, mottled, heart-shaped leaves which can remain on the plant without going dormant, as most other species do, until the new leaves emerge in late summer. The pink, lavender-pink, or magenta flowers are sweetly fragrant and appear in late summer and fall. Native from the Alps to the Balkans. Great as container specimens. Photo: Wikipedia.
