Dahlia 'Bishop of Llandaff' - Dahlia - Asteraceae (The Aster Family)
Dahlia 'Bishop of Llandaff' - 'Bishop of Llandaff' is the most popular of all burgundy-leaved dahlias with red flowers from June until frost.
Stock Status:(Out of Stock)
Bulbs ship in March/April when safe. Do not mix bulb orders with plants from other sections.
The classic 'Bishop of Llandaff' is the dahlia that started the current interest in burgundy-leaved dahlias. 'Llandaff' has rich red, peony-type flowers that are four inches across. They are held on black stems to about three feet with more finely dissected foliage than the other Bishops. Three options for winter starting with easiest and safest: 1. grow in a pot and move to a frost-free area, 2. lift tubers and store, 3. leave in the ground in well-drained, sunny beds under a mound of fallen leaves.
