Frithia pulchra resembles its relative Fenestraria aurantiaca with elongated succulent leaves that are windowed on the flat tops filtering harsh sunlight down into the interior of the leaf similar to Lithops and Haworthia. In winter, these plants create impressive displays of magenta and white, daisy-like flowers with long, thin petals.
