Gloriosa superba 'Rothschildiana' has striking flowers with broad, bright red, rippled petals with golden yellow bases. Gloriosa lily is hardy to zone 8 and possibly zone 7 if soil conditions are dry during dormancy. Try it under the overhang of the house or grow in a pot that is kept dry and frost-free over winter. All part of the plant are poisonous so no salads!
