Description Fine Print

Hydrangea quercifolia 'Toy Soldier' is an improved oakleaf hydrangea with white and green panicles of broad sterile florets loosely arranged around a profusion of lime-green fertile flowers on a compact and upright shrub to 4-5 feet tall and wide. Foliage turns mahogany in fall and remains on the plants long into the winter season. A slow-growing shrub of great beauty and one of the few hydrangeas not native to Asia, in this case hailing from the southeastern US. Drought tolerant.
