'Frisky Frolic' has standards in shades of salmony pinkish mauve with violet veins and falls in buff peach heavily veined and sanded with warm purple. Beards are tangerine orange. Blooms in early midseason on 26 inch stems. The intermediate bearded iris (IB) are hybrids that look just like the classic tall bearded iris just at two thirds the height. Use them at the front or mid border, along pathways, and in rockeries in full sun in average to dry situations. Divide every two to three years (or when clumps become congested and flowering decreases) just after blooming. Trim the foliage back to a third and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level. Deer and rabbit resistant.
