'Enraptured' is a well-named award-winner. It is a subtle yet magnificent bicolour. The standards emerge dusky lavender with chestnut highlights and lighten with time. The falls emerge buff yellow flushed lavender and warm with age set off by tangerine beards. Blooms in the mid to late season with up to eight buds per stem and a lovely fragrance. Tall Bearded (TB) irises, previously known as Iris germanica, have greyish strap-like, pointed leaves from fleshy rhizomes and tall stems of gorgeous, often fragrant, flowers that come in every colour of the rainbow. Divide every two to three years (or when clumps become congested and flowering decreases) just after blooming. Trim the foliage back to a third and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level. Deer and rabbit resistant.
