'Goldkist' is a classic and distinctive cultivar with slightly smaller pure white, ruffled standards and falls each of which is painted with yellow at their bases. The bases of the falls are also delicately veined with purple. Blooms in the midseason. Tall Bearded (TB) irises, previously known as Iris germanica, have greyish strap-like, pointed leaves from fleshy rhizomes and tall stems of gorgeous, often fragrant, flowers that come in every colour of the rainbow. Divide every two to three years (or when clumps become congested and flowering decreases) just after blooming. Trim the foliage back to a third and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level. Deer and rabbit resistant.
