'Great Balls of Fire' is a dramatic orange iris with shades of light orange, peach, yellow and cream with deep orange beards. Blooms with up to three 38 inch stems per plant with 8-9 buds each in the mid late season. Non-fragrant. Tall Bearded (TB) irises, previously known as Iris germanica, have greyish strap-like, pointed leaves from fleshy rhizomes and tall stems of gorgeous, often fragrant, flowers that come in every colour of the rainbow. Divide every two to three years (or when clumps become congested and flowering decreases) just after blooming. Trim the foliage back to a third and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level. Deer and rabbit resistant.
