Description Fine Print

Myosotidium hortensia is a rare, striking, robust, evergreen perennial endemic to the Chatham Islands of New Zealand and is the only species of this genus. Luxurious green foliage is glossy, upright and semi-cup-shaped which serves as the perfect foil for its large clusters of single, violet-blue to sky blue flowers with white margins that resemble forget-me-nots. Slow growing with a mounding habit 18-24 inches tall and wide. Requires rich, moist, well-drained soil. Plant in a very protected location outdoors in coastal BC. Elsewhere protect in winter. This is one of those botanical holy grails that we have been wanting to offer for the past 20 years!
