Description Fine Print

Salvia koyamae is a delightful Japanese yellow sage rarely found in its native habitat in Japan or in horticulture, for that matter! We are thrilled to be able to offer it to Canadian gardeners. It is a slow growing, clump-forming perennial 24 inches tall with a 3 foot spread that displays green, arrow-shaped, hairy leaves and terminal spikes of soft yellow, two-lipped flowers from late summer through fall. Tends to creep with trailing stems providing an interesting ground cover over time. Perfect in the woodland garden and unusual in being a sage for the shade. Protect from afternoon sun. Attracts pollinators. Deer resistant.
