Scilla siberica, the Siberian squill, is not native to Siberia but to southwestern Russia, the Caucasus, and Turkey. It is an easy and extremely hardy beauty for the garden with glowing blue, starry, bell-shaped flowers with royal blue midribs to each tepal. It also has dark blue pollen! It will naturalize given time and has lush mid green foliage. Blooms in early spring. Great with hellebores, snowdrops, Corydalis solida, and early daffodils.
