Description Fine Print

Sidalcea hendersonii or Henderson's checker mallow is an extremely rare native species found only from Oregon to BC. It can grow from 2-5 feet tall with lovely spires of light to mid pink mallow flowers that will bloom and rebloom from June until frost. Plants look like a dainty hollyhock. Deadhead to encourage more flowers. It is a provincially blue-listed species as its conservation status is of special concern due to habitat loss. Grow in evenly moist to even wet soils. Beloved by both butterflies and bees.
