Zingiber mioga 'White Arrow' is a rare variegated form of this culinary ginger from Japan with leaves that are margined and feathered with white. The habit is distinctive with spreading leaves to about 18 inches tall. This is probably the hardiest of the true gingers. The species is grown as a food plant in Japan for its edible young shoots and flower buds.
