Orders for each pre-order must be placed separately from other pre-orders and our Main Catalogue.* However, the different subcategories of this pre-order can be combined. Welcome to the Summer Bulb and Bare Root Pre-Order featuring 562 different bulbs, corms, rhizomes, bare root plants, and some potted plants that will bloom in late spring, summer, and fall. This pre-order includes categories for ornamentals, edibles, plants well-suited as houseplants, super hardy plants for zones 1-4, and rare South African bulbs along with some of their more familiar South African friends. More additions to this category are forthcoming including Boophone, Crossyne, and more!
Available for: Shipping and Pick-Up - Select your preference at check out. Estimated Date: Pick-ups begin in March into April. Shipping occurs through March and April as soon as weather allows in your region. We must ship these plants as early as possible so they don't come into growth in our mild climate. If you live in a cold region, we will ship once temperatures are safe for your plants to travel to you but they may arrive a few weeks before they can be planted outside. Depending on what you've ordered, you can store in a cool frost free location or in the crisper of your fridge or plant up in pots and protect from freezing. Plant Details: The number of bulbs per pack and other size details are listed above the price on the information page of each plant. Cancellations and Changes: Once plants are ordered, they are reserved for you and can’t be sold to anyone else. We view your order as a commitment you have made with us in good faith. For this reason, cancellations for full refund will only be accepted until February 11th, 2024. After that date you can choose to cancel for a refund minus a 25% restocking fee or cancel for a full store credit. Additions can be made at any time by placing a new order. Notify us when you pick up that you have multiple orders. Or email us when you place an additional order and we can link your orders in our system to ship together.
Flat Rate Shipping for Packaged Bulbs** For the 2024 season we have negotiated new shipping rates with our carriers and can now offer new lower flat rate shipping on shipments of dry bulbs and bare root. When you place your order, our system will still calculate a quoted rate. We will adjust your rate right before we ship based on the table below and refund the difference.

As a rule, all pre-orders ship separately due to timing and different packing requirements. In some cases we may be able to combine some pre-orders to ship together if you send us a detailed email listing all of your orders.
