Here's one for a hot sunny location with poor, dry soil! Antennaria plantaginifolia, commonly known as pussytoes, is a tough, cold hardy North American native ground cover growing 6 to 12 inches tall and 10-12 inches or more wide forming beautiful mounds or mats of bright silver-grey leaves with short stems supporting fuzzy, white flower heads with just a hint of pink in late spring. Flowers look like feline toes. A great ground cover and accent with texture and form in the alpine and rock garden, in containers, on rock walls, and between pavers. Attracts pollinators. Deer resistant.
