Armeria maritima, known as sea thrift or sea pink, forms low, compact mounds or spreading mats of narrow, grass-like, green foliage topped with light to dark pink, rounded clusters of tightly-packed flowers held above the foliage. Use at the front of the border, in containers, or in the dry garden. Sporadic re-blooming is common throughout the summer. Tolerant of salty soils and coastal environments.
