Description Fine Print

'Dark Side of the Moon' is a unique, dark leaved, later blooming Astilbe. The leaves first emerge yellow with a dark margin and glossy sheen maturing to a dark chocolate brown. Late summer sees dark, narrow panicles rise well above its foliage displaying bright red buds opening to rosy purple flowers. It has a mounding growth habit up to 22 inches tall with a bit wider spread. Group in flower beds or use in mixed containers where the cool foliage will offer multiple seasons of interest. Needs even moisture especially in hot weather. Attracts bees. Deer and rabbit resistant.
