Description
Fine Print
Camellia oleifera is a rare tea relative that grows as a beautiful evergreen shrub down to zone 6. It can reach 12 feet high with lovely white fragrant flowers in fall followed by large seeds that are harvested for their oil which can be used as a sweet seasoning and nutritious cooking oil in place of olive oil. It has also been used in soap and textiles. C. oleifera resembles C. sasanqua but with larger leaves.
