This hybrid of the North American C. kentuckiense and the Asian C. corrugatum (likely synonymous with C. tibeticum) produces large slippers with bold markings of deep fuchsia red atop a white to cream background. The stems can reach 20-50 cm (8-20 in.) high. Flowers will bloom a bit later in the season than other hybrids. Rich soil is required for vigourous growth. The striking flowers have a creamy lip marked with pink and accented by luscious red tepals. Blooms in May to June. Blooming size with multiple eyes.
