Description Fine Print

For a galanthophile, Galanthus 'Treasure Island' is one of the holy grails. Whereas snowdrops are famous for their pure white flowers with green markings, this rare and sought after cultivar has yellow ovaries at the base of each flower plus yellow markings on the inner petals. It is also the largest of the yellow flowered snowdrop cultivars. Snowdrops are a harbinger of spring that bloom in late winter, often breaking through the snow. Their pendulous pure white flowers often have green markings, the small subtleties of which along with the variation in petal shapes beguile many gardeners who, having fallen down the rabbit hole, are known as galanthophiles. Beware! You could be next.
