Hibiscus syriacus 'Duc de Brabant' is a flowering shrub that blooms prolifically from summer to fall with fully double, purple-red flowers with dark veins in their centre. Maple-like green foliage serves well before and during the blooming season. Rose of Sharon are slow to emerge in the spring, perfectly hardy, easy care and provide bright colour in late summer garden. Growth habit is vase-shaped, 5 to 8 feet tall and wide. Prefers acidic, well draining soil. Little to no pruning required. Perfect for screens, hedges, borders and specimen planting. Pollinator attractor. Deer resistant.
