Kniphofia 'Rocket Jr.' is a non-stop blooming dwarf red hot poker that offers fiery spikes through summer into fall. The pokers are flaming orange-red aging to bright yellow topping off at just 16 inches high. Rich green, grass-like foliage provides a textural backdrop. Use for drama, vertical appeal and textural contrast in the front to middle of the border, as a specimen, focal point, and as cut flowers. Prefers hot, dry conditions, but needs watering when blooming. Drought tolerant once established. Popular with hummingbirds and pollinators. Deer and rabbit resistant.
