Olea europaea 'Manzanillo' is a the most important Spanish olive. It originated near Seville. It can be used as a green or black table olive or for high quality olive oil that is very sweet and aromatic. The fruit are medium to large with delicious, meaty flesh. Cold and drought tolerant. Self infertile but will produce more fruit in the presence of another pollenizer like 'Frantoio', 'Leccino', 'Pendolino', and 'Arbequina'.
