Tulipa 'Tres Chic' is an elegant cultivar with white lily-shaped flowers that sparkle against the rich green foliage atop 14-16 inch stems. When the flowers first open they can have a pale lemon yellow flush. Lily-flowering tulips offer elegance to containers and garden beds. The flowers have slightly bulbous bases that narrow upwards and then flare open with pointed petal tips. Hybrid tulips can persist in the garden for many years. Afterall, they rebloom each year in the fields of the Netherlands. Provide full sun where bulbs aren't shaded by other plants, fertilize with bulb food as soon as they emerge in spring, and allow the foliage to die back naturally after flowering.
