Triumph tulips are among the best of the hybrid tulips with strong stems and classic cupped flowers that bloom in mid to late season. They hold up well to inclement weather and are good for forcing indoors. Tulipa 'Tender Whisper' is a Triumph tulip with a lily-like shape. The bases are ivory white and the pointed tips are glowing raspberry pink. Hybrid tulips can persist in the garden for many years. Afterall, they rebloom each year in the fields of the Netherlands. Provide full sun where bulbs aren't shaded by other plants, fertilize with bulb food as soon as they emerge in spring, and allow the foliage to die back naturally after flowering.
