Echinacea Summersong 'Firefinch' is a coneflower that offers fragrant, 3.5 inch wide, single flowers with overlapping petals in everchanging shades of red, reddish-orange, pinkish-red, and lavender-pink all on the same plant around dark cones. Blooms prolifically all summer long on short, compact plants 12 to 16 inches tall with a 16 to 18 inch spread. Use in the front to middle of the border, in containers, and as a cut flower. Provides seeds for overwintering birds. Echinacea in coastal BC should be planted in hot, dry, sunny spots with thin, average to poor soils for best overwintering. Pollinator and bird attractor. Deer resistant.
