'Idle Rich' has bold dusky yellow standards flushed with violet above brilliant yellow falls that lighten around the deep orange beards. The ruffling is also amazing. Blooms in midseason. Tall Bearded (TB) irises, previously known as Iris germanica, have greyish strap-like, pointed leaves from fleshy rhizomes and tall stems of gorgeous, often fragrant, flowers that come in every colour of the rainbow. Divide every two to three years (or when clumps become congested and flowering decreases) just after blooming. Trim the foliage back to a third and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level. Deer and rabbit resistant.
