Narcissus jonquilla (syn. N. juncifolius) is a small daffodil with cheerful, bright yellow, sweetly fragrant flowers. It has narrow, rush-like leaves. Each stem produces up to five flowers creating a beautiful display in containers, rock gardens, and at the front of the border. Jonquil or rush-leaved daffodil has been cultivated in France since the 18th century for narcissus oil, a component then and now of perfumes. Photo: Wikipedia.
