Papaver 'Patty's Plum' has large, dusky purple flowers with deep, dark central stamens surrounded by near-black spots. This colour is so unique you'll have so much fun making plant combinations with it. Oriental poppies are dramatic additions to the perennial border. They can go through a "dumb phase" after blooming so always plant a nice mound of foliage to one foot high in front of your poppy clumps.
