Sideritis syriaca 'Sarada's Mountain Tea', commonly known as ironwort or mountain tea, is best known for its use as a herbal tea similar to chamomile. It is a broadleaf, evergreen perennial forming a low dense mound two feet tall and wide covered in fuzzy, grayish-green foliage that resembles lamb's ears (Stachys byzantina). Tiny, yellow, tubular flowers cover the stems in tight whorls. Heat and drought tolerant. Requires fast draining soil. Great in the rock garden and container. Deer resistant.
